I began scrapbooking in the modern sense when my son was born. That was thirteen years ago, and it is amazing to me how the scrapbook world has changed.
When I was about eight or nine years old, I put together my very first picture album which consisted of photographs glued to construction paper with magazine cut outs and pieced together titles. I guess I knew someday scrapbooking would hit the world and be big.
I have been working in the scrapbooking industry in some way since 1997 when I began working at a scrapbook store. Since then I have been an instructor at both local scrapbook stores, in our community and at scrapbook conventions. I am a freelance writer and most of my articles cover the art of scrapbooking.
I love teaching others the art of preserving their memories in scrapbooks.
I am the mother of five children ranging in age from 8 to 13, four
girls and one boy. We are a blended family - three his, two mine = five
ours. Scrapbooking took on a whole new meaning for me when we all got
together. My step-daughter's don't have their own scrapbook albums or
anything with them in it that they can sit and look at. What fun it
was to watch them grow up through photographs as we began the task of
assembling some albums for them.
